Photo Journal Entry #16: Missing My Buddha

February 23rd, 2011 , Robin

It’s only been ten days since my sweet Buddha passed away, yet it feels like an eternity since I have seen his face.  Never in a million years did I think I could love an animal as much as I love and care for Buddha.  I found him on the 10 freeway in LA almost three years ago and ever since that day he has been glued to my side. There are no words to express how empty my days feel with out him.  I put this blog together in honor of his memory, to celebrate his life and to share with you all some of  ”The Bean’s” best personality traits and favorite things to do. (Unlike other RMP entries, the photos here are from all different cameras, cell phones, ect, so please excuse the inconsistencies).

Buddha was a unique and special soul.  He was always curious and when he looked at you, you could tell exactly what he was thinking.  He loved being around people and he loved attention more then he loved food.

Exploring new places were always exciting for him and I was sure to bring him with me where ever I could.

He was my shadow…

He sometimes modeled for my photo shoots.

Bath time was probably his LEAST favorite activity.

In the above photo on the left, that look on his face usually meant he was about to get into some kind of trouble.  He always paused and looked before he went for it.

He loved car rides and felt so special in his Laker bandana.

He would play with any ball he could get his mouth on.

But most importantly, his favorite pass time in the world was hanging with me.

I will miss him forever.

My sweet grand dog will be missed forever. I only knew him for a very short time and we all fell in love with him. My heart is so heavy and hurts for you Robin. This journal made me cry all over again. I’ve always told you and mean it even more now, you were his angel for rescuing him off a scary highway and he was your Godsend for protection and companionship. I am so sorry for your loss . This journal is a beautiful tribute to Buddha’s memory.

aw I love Buddha bean! I used to love when he would prance around on hardwood floors and you’d hear his big ol paws clunking around and then he’d run and slip and slide around on the floor! It was the cutest <3

I loved your entry about Buddha. I look at him and I think of our dog, Thor. He has the same mushy face and I couldn’t imagine life without him. He was a rescue about 5yrs ago and he was only a 9week old pup.
I can only imagine your heartache and how much you miss him. Dogs have a way of touching our souls and digging deep into our hearts.
You will never forget him, and he will never forget you….he will live on forever in your heart.

So sorry about Buddha. I know how you feel, I lost my little COCO out of nowhere before Christmas and I still can’t believe he’s not here anymore. You gave him all the love and the best life a dog could want, unfortunately it was not long enough. This tribute was beautiful.
